Gandhi institute for technology conducted a successful Computer Literacy Campaign long for eight days in the college premises. This Computer Literacy program continued from 13-Oct-10 to 20-Oct-10 taking the school dropouts, half educated and unemployed young ones of the nearby villages. All the participants were donated with Computer Books and were issued Certificates of Participation. This campaign aimed to make the participants self reliant and confident of earning their living with that knowledge.

The last day of the program witnessed a valedictory Function. Our Principal, Prof (Dr).S. S. Khuntia inaugurated the function and Prof (Dr.) Mayadhar Satpathy, Director Curriculum Development, BPUT who graced of occasion as Chief Guest, addressed the participants and created awareness among them on the usefulness of computers.

The untiring endeavour of Prof. K.C. Rout, Lead-Mentor(ETC Dept),Prof.(Dr.) S.S Khuntia, Principal (Gift),Prof.(Dr.) R.K.Mohanty(H.O.D-CSE,IT,MCA) and Prof(Dr) R.C Kar (Dean Academic,GIFT) made the program a grand success .

    The department of CSE & IT of Gandhi Institute For Technology (GIFT), Bhubaneswar, during its vacation organised a computer literacy program for the matric students of its nearly villages aiming to make them computer literate. In this program,many matric students got trained on Basics of Computer , Ms-Word Ms-Excel , Ms-Powerpoint & Internet Technology by the faculty members of the CSE & IT department.

    The program continued from dt. 12.07.2010 to dt .17.07.2010 & on the closing day , the Hon'ble Sub- Collector, Khurda Mr.Gobardhan Sahoo {OAS(SB)} , Vice - Principal Mr. T.K Panda & Dean Admin. Lt.Col Mr. M.K .Rout addressed the trainee and distributed the certificates.
