Seminar Briefing of Physics Seminar held on 19-5-10
The department of physics in co-ordination with Seminar committee organized a seminar on “Elementary Particles” on 19th May 2010. In this seminar Prof.(Dr.) Laxmidhar Maharana former Head of PG department of physics Utkal University delivered a nice and educative talk on the said topic with power point presentation. It was indeed a successful seminar in which the students came to know a lot about the elementary particles which are the real building blocks of nature. They also learnt about the particle accelerators at CERN and particle detector LEP where a large numbers of engineers of different branches are required.
